This Privacy Policy explains what information Guardian collects when it's added to your Discord server or used through its dashboard, why, and how you can control it.
This policy covers the Guardian Discord bot and its web dashboard, operated by [@ MrB / The Dev Zone]. If you use Guardian in a Discord server, or log into its dashboard, this policy applies to you.
Discord Account Information
When you interact with Guardian or log into the dashboard, we receive basic information from Discord itself: your Discord user ID, username, and avatar, and (for dashboard login) the servers you're a member of. We never see your Discord password — login happens entirely through Discord's own sign-in system, not ours.
Messages and Content
Depending on which features a server's admins have turned on, Guardian may store:
Moderation Records
Warnings, kicks, bans, and the reasons given for them, tied to the Discord user IDs involved, so a server's staff can review someone's history.
Leveling and Activity Data
XP totals, levels, and message/voice activity used to power the leveling and rank card features.
Reminders
If you use /remindme, the reminder text and requested time are stored until it's delivered, then deleted automatically.
The dashboard uses one cookie: a session cookie that keeps you signed in after logging in with Discord. It isn't used to track you across other websites, and it isn't used for advertising. It expires automatically, and logging out (or clearing your browser's cookies) removes it right away. We don't use any third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
A couple of features send limited information to outside services in order to work:

Most data is kept for as long as Guardian is active in a server, since it's what the features need to keep working — moderation history, leveling progress, and so on. A server's admins can remove specific data (deleting a ticket transcript, clearing a warning, etc.) through the dashboard at any time. [Describe here what happens to a server's data if Guardian is removed from it — for example, whether it's deleted after a certain number of days, or kept in case the server re-adds the bot.]
Guardian is not intended for anyone under Discord's own minimum age requirement (13, or higher where local law requires it). We don't knowingly collect information from children below that age.
This policy may be updated as Guardian's features change. Meaningful changes will be reflected here, with an updated "Last updated" date above.
